The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in Fredricksburg, TX, and they approached Exhibit Concepts to partner with another design firm to create their newest permanent exhibit, "Children on the Homefront: Growing up with War." This 1,000 sq foot exhibit was created to show the Second World War, and how it affected life for children all over the United States. This exhibit follows 3 children, Thomas, a 12-year-old boy, who lives on his family's cotton farm in Texas, Walt, a 14-year-old African American boy from Chicago, and Mary, a 12-year-old Japanese-American girl whose family was forced to relocate to a Japanese Internment Camp, and how the war has affected their lives and how they can still help out the war even from their homes across the country. I was brought onto this project to work directly with the other firm and the client to help develop and create the final graphics utilized within the space, but also to help address concerns and expertise when an initial idea was not possible, and how the goal could be achieved.
